Returns & Refunds
All welded fittings are made for your order
Every welded fitting currently offered in our online shop is made specifically after you place your order. We do not currently sell ready-made, off-the-shelf fittings or accessories. The products and size options shown online let you choose what we will fabricate for you; they are not finished items held in stock.
Each order involves materials, preparation and paid welding labour. Please check both connection types, sizes and dimensions carefully before ordering.
We plan to introduce ready-made accessories, such as fitting spanners and seals, in the future. These are not currently part of our range.
Faulty or incorrect fittings
If a fitting is faulty, does not match its description or has been made incorrectly by us, email enquiries@milkyfittings.co.uk with your order number, details of the issue and photographs where possible. We will put the issue right and provide a refund where appropriate, including where you are legally entitled to one. For consumer purchases, this includes the initial 30-day right to reject faulty goods; repair, replacement and further refund rights may also apply.
We cover reasonable return postage for faulty or incorrectly supplied items. Please contact us to arrange the return.
Wrong size or connection ordered
For genuinely bespoke fittings made to your individual specifications, we do not normally accept returns because the wrong size or connection was ordered, or because you have changed your mind. Materials and welding labour have already been committed to producing your item, which may not be suitable for another customer.
This exclusion applies only where the legal exception for bespoke or personalised goods applies. Although all our current welded fittings are produced for each order, made-to-order production alone does not remove a consumer’s cancellation rights. The bespoke-goods exception depends on whether the item is made to the customer’s individual specifications or is clearly personalised, rather than simply selected from our listed options.
Consumer cancellation rights where applicable
If you purchase as a consumer online and the bespoke-goods exception does not apply, you may cancel by emailing us within 14 days after the day you receive your goods. You then have a further 14 days to return them. You pay the direct return postage for a change-of-mind return.
We refund the goods and, where applicable, the original standard delivery charge. Manufacturing and labour costs are not deducted from statutory cancellation refunds. A lawful deduction may be made for loss in value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to establish the goods’ nature, characteristics and functioning.
Refunds are made to the original payment method within 14 days of receiving the returned goods or evidence that you have sent them back, whichever is earlier.
Goodwill returns for bespoke and business orders
If you ordered the wrong fitting and no statutory cancellation right applies, please still contact us. We may accept an unused, unmodified fitting as a goodwill return, depending on its condition and resale prospects.
- Popular fittings: we may refund the fitting price. Original shipping is not refunded, and you pay the return postage.
- Less common fittings: if we reasonably expect to resell the item within a few weeks, we may offer a partial refund, retaining an agreed amount to cover production costs, including welding labour.
- Unusual bespoke fittings: if resale is unlikely, we may be unable to offer a goodwill refund.
We will agree the return and refund amount with you in writing before you send the item back. These goodwill conditions do not apply to refunds required by law.

This policy does not limit your statutory rights. Consumer cancellation rights apply to purchases made wholly or mainly outside your trade, business, craft or profession.
