Bespoke Six-Head Keg Filling Manifold for East London Brewing Co.

We’ve recently completed a bespoke six-head keg filling manifold for East London Brewing Co., taking the project from the initial development stage through to fabrication in our workshop.

This build is a good example of how we work with customers to turn their requirements into a practical piece of stainless steel equipment.

Dedicated hooks keep the keg couplers off the floor when not in use.

Developing the design together

Before any fabrication began, we worked with the brewery to agree the configuration, connections and frame layout. During development, the design evolved from four filling heads to six, while retaining 1″ hygienic pipework.

We then produced a 3D model and a drawing with the key dimensions so the customer could review the proposed assembly before we started cutting and welding. This gave the brewery an opportunity to check the layout and request changes, including hooks to keep the keg couplers off the floor when not in use.

Once the customer was happy with the design, we moved into production.

From approved drawing to finished manifold

The finished assembly combines hygienic stainless steel pipework with a mobile frame, bringing the six filling positions together in one unit. Features include:

  • Six sanitary ball valves on the beer side, plus a central valve for CIP.
  • Six separate ball valves on the gas side.
  • A 1″ RJT male beer inlet and a ½″ BSP gas connection.
  • A stainless steel frame on castors, including two braked castors.
  • Coupler storage hooks and handles for moving the assembly.

Following welding, the assembly was cleaned and polished. Photographs of the completed build were then shared with the customer for a final review before dispatch.
